Types of Commercial Bird Control, Removal, and Exclusion we use to manage bird problems:
This is by far the best option for large areas where pigeons are landing and roosting. Bird netting is applied on flat rooftops of big stores and apartment complexes. It protects the roof from nesting and bird dropping accumulation. The bird net prevents damage and reduces maintenance cost to the building. Bird netting is also used under building overhangs where birds like to nest and land. These areas are especially problematic because bird droppings accumulate under the overhang and can cause damage, health hazards and customer slippage. In addition, bird droppings on the ground and birds hanging out at the entrance of your business can damage your business brand and image.
Wire barrier, also known as bird screening, is used to exclude and prevent birds from landing and nesting in small to medium sized areas. These areas include alcoves, around solar panels, ledges, chimneys, and many other spots birds like to accumulate and nest.
Spikes are blunt-edged, flexible, and hard to see when applied. They are used to prevent birds from landing or nesting on building ledges (such as window ledges) and signs.
A shock barrier uses a low profile, harmless, electrical shock to keep birds off ledges.
Control gel is used for smaller birds. The gel repels birds by its stickiness. Birds don’t like to perch or nest where the gel is. It is waterproof, nearly colorless, and odorless. It can be used in high temperatures.
Bird coil is an anti perching device that acts as a bird repellent. It creates an unstable surface that birds don’t like to land on. It is effective for most bird species. Bird coil is not used for swallows, starlings, or sparrows.
Scary objects such as shiny twirly things, repel strips, scare balloons, and non-moving scare owls are sometimes used to deter birds from landing.
